Every year in January there is a period when everyone has the opportunity to make a choice of school regardless of school year. In 2005 this period took place January 10-31.
After this period in January you can make a change of schools or, if you are moving to Nacka, apply for a school for students who recently moved in. The regulations of admission that are valid during the choosing period in January are no longer valid when the period is over. If you wish to change schools you should get in touch with the school that you wish to choose instead and inquire about a place. Afterwards you can make a new choice on your personal page. Don't forget to inform the school where your child was placed initially.
The choice of school is made on this web-site and you need a citizen¿s account, or a Bank-ID, in order to register you choice. Before making your choice read "Which rules apply for the choice?".

This is how to make your choice of school / day-centre for school-age children
- Apply for a citizen's account
Apply for a citizen's account by clicking on "Apply for a Citizen's Account" in the menu at the top of this page. Once your application for a citizen's account has been processed, a personal user name and a password will be sent to your home by post within 2-3 days. This is called a Nacka24ID. If you have a Bank-ID you may also use that to log in. - Log in and make your choice
When you have received your user name and password, log on to Nacka24 from the login field at the top right of this page.
Click and select ¿change of schools¿ alternatively ¿val av skola för nyinflyttade¿. Select the district where the school is situated and the school. If you recently have moved to Nacka you must choose three different alternatives. If you would like to change school you only have to make one choice.
Indicate whether you require day-care for school-age children. Enter any special requirements, e.g. home language teaching or a particular profile in the message area.

- Monitor the progress of your choice
Once you have made your choice of school you can monitor the progress of your selection on your personal page. You can for example see whether your choice is being processed, who is in charge and if any decision has been made. The provider will also inform you here if your child is offered a place. If you are not satisfied with the place that has been offered, please contact the school, otherwise it will be assumed that you have accepted the place.
Choosing a school in another municipality
If you wish your child to attend a school in another municipality you should:
- Contact the school in question and apply for a place.´
- Make your choice of school in Nacka24
- If you have chosen and been granted a place in a municipal school you should also fill in a form to apply for inter-municipal reimbursement. You may obtain the form from the principal of the new school. The form should be sent to the Municipality of Nacka for consideration. Inter-municipal reimbursement can only be granted if the pupil is registered in the Municipality of Nacka.
Don't you have access to the Internet?
In that case you can make your choice of school at a school or a municipal library. You can also receive help in choosing a school from staff at the Client Choice Group in Nacka Municipal Town Hall. If your child currently attends preschool the staff there can inform you about your choice of school.
